17. Together In Electric Dreams – Human League (Club Mix Long)

1st, we start off this Retro mix with easy listening and slow dance tracks for introduction of the routine, starting off with 102 BPM. This easy listening soul beats introduction will last for the 1st 25 minutes or so… Alphaville’s “Big In Japan” is still one of the most popular songs from the 80’s electronic dance music era which was classified as “New Wave”.

Fading Away Vocal Mix with “Once In A Lifetime” by Gregorian, this classic soul beats track surely bring all the ladies onto the dancefloor, not only for the soul beats style but for the meaningful lyrics as well. Back to back with another “girl’s” luring track, “Dying Inside To Hold You” by Timmy Thomas keeping the ladies on the dance floor, and let the guys fill up the rest of the empty spaces…

Fading Away Vocal Mix with “Paid In Full” was just my own personal preference that this is good mix from the 80’s and for educational purposes for it marked the rise of Hip Hop… HIP HOP MANIA!!! All the Scratching, Sampling and Mixing of Vocals were intentional, some might find it irritating, but I must stress this was a classic Hip Hop track with a soul beats touch! “Stars” by Simply Red, the rhythm of the whole routine still maintain at slow and casual dance with no real climax yet. Throwing in the “Remember Me” by Blue Boy marks soon arising climax as the BPM slowly adjusted to go higher, the best range of dance BPM starts at 105-110BPM for Retro.

Most of the MOST happening songs of Retro starts around 110BPM, and beware for the following higher energy tracks…
They just rock man!!! JAMMIN!!! “Shout” marks the climax of the routine and tune up to the pureness of Retro Electro Dance of 80’s, followed by the best of electronic dance with BIG names like: EMF, C&C Factory, Cameo, Depeche Mode, Camouflage and Information Society!!!

Depeche Mode’s “Strange Love” back to back with Camouflage’s “Great Commandment” is the most classic mixes of all times! You hear this mix in clubs all the time!!! The song “Crash” by Gwen Stefani was mixed in due to it’s music elements and mixing condition was superbly compatible for “What’s On Your Mind”…. Followed by the next mix will be “Push It” by Salt & Peppa, this is a brand new try out and also the best of mix in this whole routine…

This Retro routine started off with “slomo” BPMs at 102BPM and finished up with a high energy dance 130BPM. Lastly, I wrap up the routine with “Electric Dreams”, another infamous classic Retro tune for dance in clubs!!!!

For this mix, the louder you play, the better it sounds, if you have woofered sound system, even better!!!

Da Sound of Trance

Da Sound of Trance

01. Brainchild – Ayla (Original Mix)
02. SUCK X – Angel Beats (Trance Mix)
03. End This Life – Brooklyn Bounce
04. In My Mind – Cosmosonic (Master & Servant Mix)
05. Das Omen- E-Nomine (DJ Dean Mix)
06. The Devil Is A DJ – D Devils (Power Mix)
07. Tampa Bay – ThiFighter Feat UFP
08. Another Situation – DJ Precision & Terry Bones
09. Kick That Shit – Warp Brothers
10. Hardcore Vibes – Dune (Extended Mix)
11. Hardcore – Cosmic Gate (Chris One Hard Mix)
12. Melt To The Ocean – Cosmic Gate (Mellow-D Remix)

Brainchild by Ayla is one of the few classic Trance tracks around that will need sometime to be forgotten due to its smooth rhythmic elements. Build ups and breakdowns are simply easy listening for this one, so i find it suitable to be the opening track. Original BPM was 137 but I pushed to 140 for a faster so my later tracks will not have to decrease on pitching….

16 Bar Mix for “Suck X” is the best example to show bar to bar mix can affect the whole routine, the sync of the beats and at the end of the mix, bass-line took over.

3rd Track, “End This Life” marks the build up of the whole routine to entice everyone into pure dance… The mix was tight and the breakdowns on this track was superbly short, tight, breakbeats and not forgetting the vocals… putting everybody into the mood! Personally, this is my fav. track of the whole mix, no long breaks and good vocals and samples….

From Track No. 4, its marks the build up of the routine maxing up, check out the various tracks’ mixes, and the way the songs were being mixed in & out. Craziest mix would be “Another Situation”, it has a amazing and superbly long intro for mixing in, took some time to figure out a nice good way to mix.

Why I chose “Kick That Shit”???
HAHA… i ran out of songs to play during recording… I have not been updating myself and lack of practice man…. Please forgive me if my songs are way too outdated! :p

Ministry of House 2006

Mixes of Vocals & House Mix

Mixes of Vocals & House Mix

01. Let Your Go (ATB’s Remix)
02. Tom’s Diner House Club (Club Mix)
03. Let Me Show You Baby (Re-Remix)
04. Addicted to Bass (Puretone Remix)
05. Pulled to the Bumper (Re-Remix)
06. Disco Citizens Remix
07. Music Power (Vocal Mix)
08. Dark Beats (Oscar G Original Mix)
09. Billie Jean (Beat Club Mix)
10. Me Against The Music (Terminal Head Vocal Mix)
11. Sail Away (Electro Mix)
12. Hung Up (Beat Mix)
13. Tell Me (Original Vocal Mix)
14. Nothing Fails (Peter Rauhofer Lost in Space Mix)
15. If You Buy This Record Your Life Will Be Better

ATB’s Let You Go, the dark beats with a subtle bassline will bring the audience into a dance mood.
The bassline is essential to be an important element into creating a successful dance routine.
The light and soothing vocals helped to entice the dance atmosphere in the build up of the track.

The reason why Tom’s Diner was placed as 2nd track was due to it’s classic house beats, hi hats, basslines and the sexual vocals. This track brings the ladies into the mood, move and sing along with the song…

3rd track 16 Bar mix was the best example of two songs synchronizing with exact beats matching, sustaining to the breakdown down the main track. This track was meant to put the whole audience into party mood. Madison Avenue’s vocals for “Don’t Call Me Baby” is the dancefloor virus… hehe… As for the bassline, it was sampled from another track called “Love Makes the World Go Round” Sandy B is still one of the most popular house classics of the world.

Climax Of Routine

As for track no. 4 onwards, the build up of the dance routine will max up to its climax, check out the various tracks’ mixes, and the way the songs were being mixed in & out. The volume of this whole dance routine will gradually get higher from Track No. 4 onwards, so watch out on your speakers volume if you are blasting away…

Personal Favourite mix would be at 52 minutes 46 secs, the way that Track No. 10. *Me Against The Music* merged with the beats and it’s vocals intro took over when the mix completed. The breaks of this remix will bring the dance crowd to the highest level and thus party through out the whole of the track, not forgetting the vocals of the track that hypes up the crowd as well.

Track No. 11 *Sail Away* is one key higher than the previous Track No. 10, it’s tight and rhythmic bassline will keep the crowd going. Into the mid section of this track, beautiful vocals and breakdowns are introduced letting the crowd take some to breathe after much of high energy tracks and then bring them another climax when beats build up and come back to reign the dance floor.

BPM was gradually brought down to 129BPM at the end of the dance routine…
The 8 Bar Mix of the last Track No. 15 was kinda rush, cuz Track No. 14 has got some issues playing to the part for mixing…
